Introduction

Image of self or an institution is always the reflection of human actions. Their each and every step is noticed as well as observed and adds right colors to the image. For the potential development of any individual, group, society or nation as a whole, there is a strong need of high intellectual, broad skill base, the better availability of resources and so and above all a strong value system that forms a strong foundation for the sustainable and the continuous growth. In the organisation, we are laying much stress on skills-development, which of course is required to keep pace with the changing technology and requirements. At the same time, efforts to some extent are also being made to develop positive attitude of the individuals towards the desired acts and behaviors. However, little is achieved through all the efforts made in this direction. Today, we find lot of gap between theory and practice, belief and action. This gap leads to hypocrisy. This contradiction leads to tensions and stress in the society. The obvious solution is better, more transparent and accountable administration. Such an administration can be trustworthy only when it is based on deeply felt human values. Unless values are inculcated within human beings, their attitude and behavior cannot be changed through superficial efforts. Thus there is a great urge for regular and the continuous sharpening of the sword in order to cut down the shackles or barriers in the path of nation building. There is a great need for skilling of human values that could result in the form of creating a nation with clean image and strong bonding.

In this direction the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) Delhi Chapter organized a mega conference on “Skilling Human Values for building Swachh Image”, on 18th March 2015 at Scope Convention Centre Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The Conference was organized with an approach of building a unique platform where the needs and significance of building Swachh Image or a Value driven Image could be addresses. The Conference was well organized and was spread in the four areas of :

·         Conflicting Image- A journey from Doubt to Belief

·         Creating an Inclusive Mindset in Organizations

·         Handling Technology with Human Perspective

·         Nation in Making; Role of a Leader
